The Murder Of Daniel Wood Jr.

Across State Lines Episode 5

If you would like to give me feedback, click here

In 1954, Daniel Wood Jr. left his Gray, Maine home, to go fishing with friends. Shortly after he left, he called his mother from a nearby corner store, to let her know that he had been offered a part time job selling needle kits door to door. When Daniel didn't arrive home for dinner that night, his parents reported him as missing. Nine days later, his body was discovered floating in the Little Androscoggin river, and he had been brutally beaten to death. Despite numerous suspects, a thorough investigation, and an odd letter being sent all across Gray, Maine, his murder has never been solved.
